Dr Quach My Vân

I've seen my fair share of doctors, also given I'm going on 42, and while I wouldn't describe some as "incompetent", there is often the "get in, write you a slip, get out" attitude among many GPs, but this is not the case at all with Dr. Quach.

Having had her for the past ~8 years, she's always been a very great listener, as in, takes your worries and questions into account and addresses them fully and when she can't address certain more specialty-specific issues (i.e.: cardiology) refers you to the right places in order to detect/ treat / etc whatever ailments you may have.

She is VERY well resourced, and very smart (I know, you'd expect that from someone who studied medicine but not all GPs are as passionate as she is about her work, giving her an upper hand at being up to date with new studies, etc), good at fitting pieces of a puzzle together in order to eliminate certain possibilities and recommend or refer certain tests / specialist. You can really tell she really wants her patients to get better (I'm living it firsthand for the past month) and I could go on and on.

Also: not part of some GP trends as to over prescribe some medications for example anxiety / depression and that's a good thing since many people are overprescribed just cuz they had a bad week and then getting off those meds is harder.

Not going to write a book, but keywords to summarize: wants the best for you, takes the time to address your issues, is VERY reassuring – she would not lie and say "Nah, everything's gonna be alright" if you had a terminal illness – BUT she has a very "human" approach which sometimes even makes you forget she's your doctor given so much heart she puts into her work.
